Award winners at RIFF

The Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF) ended on October 8. On October 7 the closing ceremony took place, where American feature The Rider by Chloé Zhao won RIFF‘s main prize, The Golden Puffin. Atelier, a short film by Elsa María Jakobsdóttir won for Best Icelandic Short.

The following films were awarded:

Environmental Award: Grab and Run by Roser Corella

Best Icelandic Short: Atelier by Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir

Best International Short: Copa Locas by Christos Massalas

Golden Egg: Wilson Hold On by Charlotte Scott

Special mention in the A Different Tomorrow category: Brexitannia by Timothy George Kelly

Special mention in the A Different Tomorrow category: The Last Hunt by Trude Berge Ottersen and Gry Elisabeth Mortensen

Special mention in the Icelandic Shorts category: Munda by Tinna Hrafnsdóttir

Special mention in the Icelandic Shorts category: Nightlight by Marc-André Morisette
