LOBSTER SOUP wins best documentary award at Bergamo Film Meeting

Lobster Soup, the Spanish/Icelandic/Lithuanian documentary directed by Pepe Andreu and Rafael Molés, was awarded the CGIL Prize for the Close Up - La Sortie de l'Usine for best documentary at Bergamo Film Meeting. The festival took place from April 24 - May 2 in a hybrid version.  

Lobster Soup had its world premiere in the Zinemira section at the prestigious San Sebastian International Film Festival in September 2020. 

A tiny café in a small town in Iceland becomes a refuge for fishermen, musicians, and football fans. It's so authentic that more and more tourists arrive every day. It's becoming a profitable business - but then the investors arrive. Can the soul of the café be sold?

Lobster Soup was directed by Pepe Andreu and Rafael Molés, and written by Andreu, Molés, Ólafur Rögnvaldsson og Arunas Matelis. The film was produced by Andreu and Molés for Suica Films, and coproduced by José Luis Rubio for Rec Grabaketa Estudioa, Ólafur Rögnvaldsson for Axfilms and Algimanté Mateliene for Studio Nominum.
