THREE FILM FOCUSES ON FRIDRIK THÓR IN EUROPE
First off is the Art Film Fest in Slovakia, which will take place June 18. – 26. In the section “Iceland according to Fridriksson” an impressive selection of Fridrik Thór Fridriksson catalogue will be presented, spanning 35 years of filmmaking and ranging from experimental shorts and docs to well-known feature films. The section presents Fridriksson’s work from its outset: films which haven't been screened in Slovakia, or which are no longer distributed there, to penetrate further into the essence of his work, and trace its development from his first short films to his current mature feature-length films, recipients of international acclaim.

The Golden Apricot International Film Festival takes place in Yerevan, Armenia, July 11. – 18. A selection of Fridrik Thór Fridriksson's feature films will be screened at the 7th annual Golden Apricot, where Fridriksson also heads the Feature Jury.
