IN A HEARTBEAT WON THE BEST SHORT FILM AWARD AT THE INDIAN CHILDREN'S FILM FESTIVAL
In a Heartbeat, a short Icelandic film by the director Karolina Lewicka, won the Best Short Film Award at the Indian Children‘s Film Festival, held in Bengaluru and a few more cities in the state of Karnataka in India from the 9th to 14th of January 2012.
More than one hundred children‘s films from all over the world participated in the festival. They were devided into two categories: Children‘s films, including feature films, animated films and short films. The purpose of the other category, envirionmental films, is to create environmental awareness and consciousness through films.
In a Heartbeat has been screened at various film festivals throughout the world since it‘s premiere in the autumn of 2010 in Iceland. Karolina Lewicka is also the screenwriter of this 7 minutes and 30 seconds short film about a nine years old girl who overcomes her shyness and fear. Elín Perla Stefánsdóttir and Erla Ruth Hardardóttir play the main characters.
