12 HOURS TO DESTRUCTION by Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir selected for Cinekid Directors LAB

Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir's project in development 12 Hours to Destruction has been selected for the first edition of Cinekid Directors LAB. The project is directed by Magnúsdóttir and produced by Júlíus Kemp and Ingvar Thórdarson. The selection consists of six projects and the Directors LAB will take place in April in Amsterdam.

About the project: In the early summer of 1980, eleven-year-old Hanna and the rest of her childhood band aim to bring criminals to justice when a threat to destroy the last dance of school comes their way. Their ensuing adventure pits good vs. evil and disco vs. punk, and ends with love and unity conquering all.

About Cinekid Directors LAB

During Cinekid Directors LAB, an international group of talented directors will focus on the final steps one needs to take prior to (pre-)production, coupled with the special and specific skills required for working with children. Above all the program offers hands-on tailor-made coaching by established experts. The workshop is co-funded by Creative Europe MEDIA Programme and is supported by Icelandic Film Centre, Netherlands Film Fund and Norwegian Film Institute.
