BÚI wins Best Short at SCHLINGEL

Búi, writer/director Inga Lísa Middleton‘s short film, won for Best Short at the SCHLINGEL International Film Festival for Children and Young Audience in Chemnitz, Germany. This is the film‘s first award.

Búi is written and directed by Inga Lísa Middleton (A Fairy Tale of Our Time) and produced by Skúli Malmquist for Zik Zak Filmworks. It stars Anja Sæberg, Hanna María Karlsdóttir, Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir and Bjarni Kristbjörnsson.

In Búi, nine-year-old Anna has just moved to a new neighborhood and is having difficulty making new friends. Everything changes when a boy named Búi encourages her to show the others what she‘s made of.
