CHASING BIRDS by Una Lorenzen wins in Shanghai

The animated short film Chasing Birds by Una Lorenzen, received an award for the best animated short film at the Shanghai International Film Festival. The festival began on June 9th and concluded with an award ceremony on June 18th.

Chasing Birds is a Canadian-Icelandic co-production, produced by Unité Centrale and the Icelandic production company Compass Films. The short tells the story of a little girl who playfully chases a bird throughout a chaotic and transformational period.

Chasing Birds recently received awards at Prends ça court and Rendezvous Quebec Cinema. Previously, it had been awarded as the best Icelandic short film at RIFF 2022.
