EFA Young Audience Award 2019

EFA Young Audience Award occurred on May 5th in 55 cities and 34 European countries. Children between 12 – 14 years old participated and formed a jury that voted for the best film out of three films and this year the film Fight Girl by Johan Timmers was the winner.

15 children participated in the Icelandic jury and voted for the film Los Bando by Christina Lo as the best film and Fight Girl as the second best film and Old boys by Toby MacDonald for the third. The film Fight Girl was selected as the best film overall in EFA YAA and Los Bando was the second best film and Old Boys as the third.

The directors Baltasar Kormákur, Ása Helga Hjörleifsdóttir and the actress and scriptwriter Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir participated in Q&A‘s after the screenings in Iceland and Oddný Sen and Erla Stefánsdóttir were curators.

EFA YAA was available online as a live stream and the ceremony will remain available as VOD on the website yaa.europeanfilmawards.eu.
