HEARTSTONE continues good festival run

Heartstone, writer/director Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson‘s debut feature, has recently won seven awards. It won the Don Quixote Award at the Tromso International Film Festival in Norway, the Lorens Award for Best Producer at the Göteborg Film Festival in Sweden, the Scope100 distribution competition in Portugal and Sweden and won three awards at the Premiers Plans Festival in Angers, France.

The Don Quixote Award was awarded by FICC (International Federation of Film Societies) in Tromso.

The Lorens Award at the Göteborg Film Festival was awarded to producers Anton Máni Svansson, Lise Orheim Stender, Jesper Morthorst and Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson.

The wins in the Scope100 distribution competitions mean the film will receive distribution in Portugal and Sweden.

At the French premiere in Angers at the Premiers Plans Festival, Heartstone won the Grand Prize for Best Film, the Audience Award and the Erasmus Award.

Heartstone has already won seven international awards in 2017 and has now won a total of 20 international awards.

Heartstone recently received a total of 16 nominations for the upcoming Edda Awards, taking place on February 26.
