HEARTSTONE wins the Grand Prix at Febiofest

Heartstone, writer/director Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson‘s debut feature, won the Grand Prix at Febiofest – Prague International Film Festival. Gudmundsson was in attendance and accepted the award.

This marks the third year in a row where an Icelandic feature wins the Grand Prix at Febiofest; Rúnar Rúnarsson‘s Sparrows won last year and Baldvin Z‘s Life in a Fishbowl won in 2015.

Heartstone has already won 14 international awards in 2017 and has now won a total of 27 international awards. It recently won nine Edda Awards, including for Best Picture. It also won three awards at the online Cinema Scandinavia Awards.
