Hildur Gudnadóttir receives two Grammy nominations

Icelandic composer Hildur Gudnadóttir has received two Grammy nominations for 2021. Gudnadóttir is nominated for Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media for her Oscar-winning score to the film Joker, and Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella for her Bathroom Dance arrangement, which also appeared in Joker. Gudnadóttir has already won the Grammy Award in 2020 for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for the critically-acclaimed drama series Chernobyl

The Iceland Symphony Orchestra also received a Grammy nomination for Best Orchestral Performance for the album Concurrence, conducted by Daníel BjarnasonThis is the second time The Iceland Symphony Orchestra has been nominated for a Grammy.

Icelandic composer Atli Örvarsson is also one of the artists nominated for the music in the film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga in the category Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media.

The Award ceremony will be airing on Sunday, January 31, on CBS. The complete list of this year's nominees is available here.
