I REMEMBER YOU wins award in Germany

I Remember You, Óskar Thór Axelsson‘s most recent feature, won the Fresh Blood Award for Best Film at the Fantasy Film Fest in Germany. Fantasy Film Fest took place in the seven biggest cities of Germany. This is the film‘s first international award.

I Remember You has been a national success, where a total of more than 47.000 people have seen it in Icelandic cinemas. It is still screening in Bíó Paradís with English subtitles.

I Remember You is directed by Óskar Thór Axelsson (Black‘s Game) and written by Axelsson and Ottó Geir Borg. It is produced by Skúli Malmquist, Thor Sigurjonsson, Sigurjon Sighvatsson and Chris Briggs for Zik Zak Filmworks. Starring Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (Atomic Blonde, Game of Thrones), Anna Gunndís Gudmundsdóttir, Thor Kristjansson, Sara Dögg Ásgeirsdóttir and Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir.

Three young people from the city set out to restore a rundown building in a remote fjord. When a sinister supernatural entity appears, their innocent trip turns into their worst nightmare. Meanwhile, on the other side of the fjord, a psychiatrist investigating a suicide discovers that the case is connected to his own son, who vanished three years earlier.
