Iceland Documentary Film Festival takes place from June 23 - 27

IceDocs- Iceland Documentary Film Festival will be held for the third time from June 23 - 27 in the town of Akranes, a half hour drive from Reykjavik. The festival will screen a number of international documentaries, host a music program, pub quizzes, beach parties, film related events, and a children's program.

The festival's opening film is the music documentary Crock of Gold - a Few Rounds with Shane MacGowan. All screenings and open events have a free entry upon booking seats online. 

During the festival, IceDocs and The National Film Archive of Iceland will introduce "Iceland on Film", the new online film database which gives a rare glimpse into copies dating all the way back to 1906 to current days. Selected clips will play in the Akranes Library and Lighthouse.
