Nordic Women in Film 2021 - Q&A, coffee conversations and online screenings from February 2 - March 4

The Icelandic feature film And Breathe Normally by Ísold Uggadóttir will be screened online as part of the digital screening series Nordic Women in Filmwhere female voices are examined, amplified and celebrated. Each week between February 2 and March 4 the audience will have the chance to watch online a contemporary Nordic film and meet online for a Q&A and themed conversation. 

During the first week, on February 3, Icelandic director Silja Hauksdóttir (Agnes Joy) takes part in the first coffee conversation themed Boundless Art, Boundless Success. See the conversation here:

Nordic Women in Film - BOUNDLESS ART, BOUNDLESS SUCCESS /Q&A and Conversation

And Breathe Normally will be screened under the theme Borders & Boundaries from March 2 - 4 for the US and Canada. Registration is now open.

Two women's lives will intersect while trapped in circumstances unforeseen. Between a struggling Icelandic mother and an asylum seeker from Guinea-Bissau, a delicate bond will form as both strategize to get their lives back on track.

Q&A with Ísold Uggadóttir and panel discussion (How do filmmakers influence physical, geographical, and emotional boundaries?) will be held on March 3 and is open for everyone. Icelandic film editor Elísabet Ronaldsdóttir and Icelandic actress Kristín Thóra Haraldsdóttir will be among speakers in week 5. See the conversation here:
