Extensive film programme at the Icelandic Week in Paris

The Icelandic Week – La semaine islandaise – takes place at L'Entrepôt (Paris 14ème) 23-26 of June in Paris, with a special focus on film, literature, music and cuisine from Iceland.

The festival is organized by the Icelandic embassy in Paris in collaboration with Business Iceland, The Icelandic Film Centre and Les Arcs Film Festival.

The festival's artistic director is Frédéric Boyer. Boyer has worked as an artistic director for the Les Arcs Film Festival since its inception in 2009 and for the Tribeca Film Festival. Prior to that he was the artistic director and head of programming for the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes.

The film programme is extensive, with emphasis on the films of Sólveig Anspach (1960-2015) and Benedikt Erlingsson, guest of honor. New Icelandic titles will also be screened, feature lengths and shorts, including Godland, Hlynur Pálmason's newest film which screened recently in Un Certain Regard in Cannes, Beautiful Beings by Guðmundur Arnar Guðmundsson, and Kaf by Elín Hansdóttir, Hanna Björk Valsdóttir and Anna Rún Tryggvadóttir.
