The Flatey Enigma nominated for the Prix Europa awards

The Flatey Enigma TV series by Björn B. Björnsson is nominated for the Prix Europa awards. 20 TV series from 16 European countries are nominated for this year edition. The ceremony will be held on October 11 in Potsdam, Germany.

In 2016 the TV series Trapped by Baltasar Kormákur won the award and that was the first time an Icelandic TV series won the award.

The Flatey Enigma happens in 1970 and is about Jóhanna, a professor of Nordic studies, which is accused of murder. To prove her innocence she has to solve the Flatey Enigma, a riddle in a medieval manuscript about Norse kings, and face her deepest fear, the man she ran away from ten years earlier.
