Two Icelandic projects selected for Cinekid Script LAB

Cinekid Script LAB is a six-month long course where screenwriters receive specialized training in the making of children's content.

This year, two screenwriters from Iceland are participating, Gunnar Theodór Eggertsson with the project Dead Disa (producer: Go to Sheep) and Clarisse Charrier with the project The Big Snow (producer: Tulipop Studios). In total, 18 writers from 10 different countries are participating in the course, under the guidance of experienced trainers.

Cinekid Script LAB takes place in the Netherlands during the Cinekid festival in October 2023 and wraps up in Germany when the Berlin International Film Festival takes place in February. Screenwriters receive training in scriptwriting and presentation of their own projects, while also strengthening their networks and meeting other screenwriters from all over Europe.

Cinekid is one of the world's leading multimedia festivals for children's content and was first held over 30 years ago. More information can be found on the Cinekid website.
