WOMAN AT WAR wins The Audience Award in Tromsø

Woman at War by Benedikt Erlingsson won this year's audience award at Tromsø International Film Festival which concluded January 20. 

Recently, the Icelandic musician Davíd Thór Jónsson was nominated for The HARPA Nordic Film Composers Award, for his score for the music in Woman at War. The award will be handed out at the conclusion of this year's Nordic Film Music Days, which runs concurrently with the Berlinale.

Woman at War has won the LUX Prize, awarded by the European Parliament and the Nordic Council Film Prize. The film had it's world premiere at Cannes Critics' Week 2018, where it won four awards.

Recently, the two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster announced she will direct, co-produce and star in a remake of the film. Foster will reinterpret the role of Halla (played by Halldóra Geirhardsdóttir in the original film).
