COP SECRET nominated for European Film Awards

Cop Secret, by Icelandic director Hannes Thór Halldórsson, has been nominated as the best comedy at the European Film Awards.

The film follows Iceland's toughest cop, who will stop at nothing to solve a string of violent bank robberies. But when he is forced to take on a new partner, the pressures of solving the case prove too much for the tough-as-nails renegade.

The 35th European Film Awards, presented by the European Film Academy to recognize achievements in European filmmaking, takes place in Reykjavík, Iceland on 10 December 2022.

Cop Secret is Hannes Thór Halldórsson‘s debut feature. The film had its world premiere in the main competitive section at Locarno Film Festival 2021. After the premiere the cast and crew in attendance were treated to a standing ovation.
