COP SECRET selected for Busan
Hannes Thór Halldórsson‘s debut feature, Cop Secret, has been selected for the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. The film will have its Asian premiere at the festival. The Busan International Film Festival will run from October 6 through 15.
Cop Secret had its world premiere in August in the main competitive section at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. The film has also been selected for Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas and BFI London Film Festival in the UK.
Cop Secret follows a tough supercop who is fighting a inner struggle at the same time as he is investigating a string of bank robberies where nothing seems to have been stolen.
The film was written by Nína Petersen, Sverrir Thór Sverrison, and Halldórsson. The film was produced by Lilja Ósk Snorradóttir for Pegasus Pictures and stars Audunn Blöndal, Egill Einarsson, Steinunn Ólína Thorsteinsdóttir, Vivian Ólafsdóttir, Sverrir Thór Sverrisson, and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson.
International sales for the film are being handled by Alief.
