DREAMS, WOMEN & BREAD in Seoul

The Icelandic documentary Dreams, Women and Bread will be screened at the EIDF EBS Documentary Festival , held in Seoul, South Korea, from 25–31 August.

The film is featured in the Creative Documentaries category, and Svanlaug Jóhannsdóttir, one of the film’s directors, has accepted an invitation to attend the screening at the festival.

“We are proud and grateful that the spirit of Icelandic women’s culture will be given visibility and attention, where stories, dreams, colourful worlds, landscapes, folklore, memories, and enchanting music find their way into the hearts of audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds,” reads a statement from the film’s producers.

The film premiered at Bíó Paradís in April 2024 and is expected to air on RÚV later this year.
