Godland teaser clip released

Godland, by Icelandic director Hlynur Pálmason, will have its world premiere in Un Certain Regard at the Cannes Film Festival May 24.

Godland is set in the late 19th century, and tells a story of a young Danish priest who travels to a remote part of Iceland to build a church and photograph its people. But the deeper he goes into the unforgiving landscape, the more he strays from his purpose, the mission and morality.

The film is produced by Snowglobe (DK) in collaboration with Join Motion Pictures (IS) and in co-production with Maneki Films (FR), Film I Väst & Garagefilm International (SE).

International sales for Godland are being handled by New Europe Film Sales.
