GODLAND wins Zabaltegi-Tabakalera Award at San Sebastian

Hlynur Pálmason's feature film, Godland, won the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera Award at the 70th edition of the San Sebastian International Film Festival.

Godland, Pálmason's third feature film, had its world premiere in Cannes this year. The film takes place in the 19th century and tells the story of a young Danish priest. He arrives in Iceland with the mission to build a church and photograph the island's inhabitants on his journey.

Pálmason's short film, Nest, was also in competition in the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera section.

Godland is produced by Denmark's Snowglobe with Iceland's Join Motion Pictures. International sales for Godland are handled by New Europe Film Sales.
