Gudrun Edda Thórhannesdóttir and Melkorka Pitt selected as screenwriters to participate in the Torino Film Lab workshop – NEXT Feature Film

The South Window, a project helmed by Gudrún Edda Thórhannesdóttir and Melkorka Pitt, has been chosen as one of 20 international projects to be part of the Torino Film Lab – NEXT Feature Film workshop. The project is based on a novel by Icelandic author Gyrdir Elíasson.

Gudrún Edda is a film producer with BA and MA degrees from Cambridge University in literature and history. Melkorka just graduated as an actress with a BA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

The mission of the TorinoFilmLab is to bring together people, cultures and ideas to develop original and unique stories that can impact the future. TFL Next aims at empowering a new generation of agile-thinking and innovative filmmakers.

TFL NEXT – Feature Film is aTorinoFilmLab training workshop addressed to teams of international professionals, who want to strengthen their techniques and skills to develop and produce a strong Feature Film project. The workshop is a combination of one-on-one sessions, group sessions and masterclasses, aiming at implementing the expertise and knowledge necessary to create a Feature Film and to acquire a deep understanding of the art form.
