HEARTSTONE wins in Sweden and Mexico

Heartstone, writer/director Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson‘s debut feature, recently won two more international awards, continuing its impressive festival run. It won the Church of Sweden Award at the children‘s and youth festival BUFF in Malmö, Sweden and a Special Mention in the Premio Maguey section of the Guadalajara International Film Festival in Mexico.

Lead actors Baldur Einarsson (pictured) and Blær Hinriksson (also pictured) were in attendance in Sweden and Mexico; Einarsson in Malmö and Hinriksson in Guadalajara.

Heartstone has already won 13 international awards in 2017 and has now won a total of 26 international awards. It recently won nine Edda Awards, including for Best Picture. It also won three awards at the online Cinema Scandinavia Awards.
