Icelandic spotlight at Trento

Iceland was the feature country of this years Destination section at the Trento Film Festival, which took place April 27 – May 7. Each year this Alpine festival selects a country in which mountains and nature are distinctive features of its landscape.

The program for Destination…Iceland consisted of 15 films, either from Iceland or having something to do with Iceland, and a series of cultural events. Two Icelandic directors – Ásdís Thoroddsen, the director of the documentary WeAre Still Here, and Fridrik Thór Fridriksson, the director of Horizon – attended the festival. Fridriksson was also a member of the festival's jury.
