Ingvar Sigurdsson wins Best Performance award at Festival Premiers plans d'Angers

The Icelandic actor Ingvar Sigurdsson won Best Performance award for his performance in Hlynur Pálmason's A White, White Day at Festival Premiers plans d'Angers. The festival took place from January 17 - 26 in Angers, France.

Sigurdsson has already won three awards for this performance. At Cannes Critics' Week, where A White, White Day had its world premiere, he won the Louis Roederer Foundation Rising Star Award. At the Transilvania International Film Festival, he won the Best Performance Award. And at the Festival du nouveau cinéma in Montreal, he won for Best Actor in a Feature Film. Sigurdsson was also nominated for Best Actor at the European Film Awards in 2019.

A White, White Day is written and directed by Hlynur Pálmason and produced by Anton Máni Svansson for Join Motion Pictures. The film is an Icelandic/Danish/Swedish coproduction.
