IT HATCHED wins Best International Film at Midwest Weirdfest

Elvar Gunnarsson's feature film, It Hatched, won Best International Film at Midwest Weirdfest. The festival took place from March 4 - 6 in Wisconsin, USA.

Pétur's and Mira's plans about opening a guesthouse in remote West Iceland come to a halt when Mira lays an infant size egg and an ancient demon escapes from under the basement floor.

It Hatched was written by Elvar Gunnarsson and Ingimar Sveinsson and produced by Hero Productions. The film had its premiere at Austin Film Festival in 2021 and stars Gunnar Kristinsson and Vivian Ólafsdóttir.
