Martin Schlüter appointed Head of Production at the Icelandic Film Centre
Martin Schlüter has taken on the position of Head of Production at the Icelandic Film Centre.
He holds a degree in film directing and production from the Deutsche Film und Fernsehakademie in Berlin. He has worked at the Icelandic Film Centre for 17 years, first as Head of Production for one year, later as a Film Consultant for 11 years, and for the past five years as a Producer.
Additionally, Martin Schlüter has taken on independent projects alongside his work at the Icelandic Film Centre, serving as a Production Manager for Icelandic, German, and international film productions. Through his work, Martin has gained extensive knowledge of Icelandic filmmaking, film culture, and stakeholders, along with valuable experience in project management, promotion, and international collaboration in the film industry.
Schlüter is succeeding Sigurrós Hilmarsdóttir, who has served as Head of Production at the Icelandic Film Centre since 2018. The Icelandic Film Centre sincerely thanks Sigurrós for her excellent work in recent years and looks forward to continued collaboration with Martin.
