MY YEAR OF DICKS and HOLD IT TOGETHER selected for Clermont-Ferrand
The short films Hold it Together by Fan Sissoko, and My Year of Dicks by Sara Gunnarsdóttir have been selected for the Clermont-Ferrand short film festival, taking place from January 27th to February 4th.
My Year of Dicks takes part in the International Competition of the festival. The short is based on Pamela Ribon's memoir and follows 15-year-old Pam's determined quest to lose her virginity in the 1990s in a small town in Texas.
Hold it Together participates in the Euro Connection part of the festival, which is a co-production platform that offers participants the opportunity to present their projects and network with producers and film professionals in Europe.
In Hold it Together we meet Neemu, a young immigrant in Iceland, who experiences a series of unexpected changes in her weekly trips to the swimming pool. Sissoko's earlier short, On the Surface, received a special mention in the International Competition at Clermont-Ferrand in 2022.
