O receives two awards at DRIM SFF in North Macedonia

O, a short film by Rúnar Rúnarsson starring Ingvar E. Sigurðsson, won two awards this past weekend at DRIM SFF, the international film festival in North Macedonia.

The jury was unanimous in its decision, granting the film both the award for Best Film of the Festival and Best Film of the Festival in the International Category.

The jury praised O for its deep and compelling story, strong direction, excellent performances, and striking cinematography, calling it a complete achievement both technically and emotionally.

O is a poetic tale of a man who wants to succeed, but whose greatest obstacle is himself. The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival last autumn and has since travelled the world. These are the film's fifteenth awards, and it has also been shortlisted for the 2025 European Film Awards as well as for consideration at the 2026 Academy Awards.

The film is directed by Rúnar Rúnarsson and produced by Heather Millard.
