RIFF – call for entries

Submissions are now open for the 15th edition of the Reykjavík International Film Festival, RIFF, which takes place from September 27 through October 7 later this year. The deadline for submissions is July 15.

RIFF accepts feature films, documentaries, short films and short documentaries. The films must be produced after January 1st, 2017 and must not have previously premiered formally in Iceland. Neither should they be open for public viewing online.

Please find the festival regulations here. To submit your film please follow the steps at RIFF‘s Visitor page.

Call for talents to participate in the Reykjavik Talent Lab is also open. Each year during the Reykjavík International Film Festival, this transatlantic lab highlights innovative works from young up-and-coming filmmakers and facilitates the necessary networking to promote their work to buyers and distributors overseas. Through master classes, panels, workshops, and fun excursions, the attendees gain further the opportunity to participate in a dialogue and exchange their cinematic ideas not only with established industry professionals but also with the fellow talented filmmakers coming from all around the world. The talents will also be considered to take part in RIFF‘s Golden Egg Competition section with a current short film. To participate at this year‘s Reykjavik Talent Lab you may also apply at RIFF‘s Visitor page.
