RIFF - Industry Days
The 17th edition of The Reykjavík International Film Festival is up and running.
From Thursday Oct 1st the program of industry events starts and you can register on the website: https://riff.is/industry-days/
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this year RIFF INDUSTRY DAYS and the IMF events will be a hybrid program between online and on-site activities. There will be a small in-person events for domestic participants, but almost all events will be live-streamed in channels to ensure safety measures.

Thursday - 1st October
13.00 – 16.00 GMT – WIP - Work in progress
The Icelandic Film Centre and RIFF introduce a diverse Work-in-Progress showcase, presenting excerpts from the latest Icelandic film and TV productions, curated by RIFF's head of programming Frédéric Boyer.
14.00 – 16.00 GMT – VOD & TV SERIES – NEW MODELS – NEW TREND – PANEL
A panel about VOD and TV Series productions in Iceland with relevant names in the industry like Pálmi Guðmundsson, Þóra Björg Clausen, Hörður Rúnarsson, Anna Vigdís Gísladóttir and Ásgrímur Sverrisson.
Friday - 2nd October
15.30 – 17.00 GMT – FILM IN ICELAND
In this event, the Icelandic Film Commission and the Icelandic film Centre along with key Icelandic production companies will explore the current status of Icelandic productions and provide the audience with detailed information as to why Iceland is the place to film. Participants are Einar Hansen Tómasson, Leifur Dagfinnsson, Baltasar Kormákur, and Laufey Gudjónsdóttir to participate in this panel.
18.00 – 20.30 GMT – RIFF TALKS
RIFF TALKS are a series of concise and polished presentations by established creative film professionals who are willing to share their knowledge of “how to break through “ where filmmakers & audiences will be inspired. Confirmed speakers: Ugla HauksdÓttir, Aníta Briem, Sunneva Ása Weisshappel, Vigfús Þormar Gunnarsson, Rob Tasker + More TBC. Moderated by Níels Thibaud Girerd.
