RIFF is now running
The Reykjavík International Film Festival, RIFF, is now in its 15th year and is running from September 27 through October 7. The festival‘s guests of honor are actor Mads Mikkelsen and director Jonas Mekas.
Among the Icelandic films screening at the festival are Woman at War by Benedikt Erlingsson, which will screen as part of the festival‘s LUX Prize section, a section dedicated to the three films nominated for this year‘s LUX Prize. Adrift, Baltasar Kormákur‘s new film starring Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin, will screen in the Icelandic Panorama section.
A vast number of Icelandic short films will screen in the Icelandic Shorts section, including Happily Never After by Nanna Kristín Magnúsdóttir, Seasick by Andri Freyr Ríkarðsson and Shells by Ísak Hinriksson.
