Sara Gunnarsdóttir's My Year of Dicks takes honors at Annecy Festival

The animated series My Year of Dicks, directed by Icelander Sara Gunnarsdóttir, received the Cristal prize, given to TV productions, at the Annecy Animation Festival in France.

My Year of Dicks is written by Pamela Ribon, based on her critically-acclaimed memoir. The series is a genre-mashing tale of an imaginative fifteen year-old who is stubbornly determined to lose her virginity, despite slim pickings in the outskirts of Houston in the early 90’s.
