Skjaldborg - Icelandic Documentary Film Festival takes place from June 3 - 6
Skjaldborg - Icelandic Documentary Film Festival will return to the town of Patreksfjordur in the Westfjords on Whitsun weekend, from June 3 - 6.
The festival presents new Icelandic documentary films, and also functions as a meeting point for documentarians and documentary enthusiasts. 13 documentaries will be screened at the festival, works in progress will be introduced, and the National Film Archive of Iceland will have a special program. Skjaldborg's guest of honour this year will be Magnus Gertten, and his documentary Nelly & Nadine will be the opening film at the festival.
The first Skjaldborg festival was held in in 2007. The Icelandic documentaries premiering at the festival compete for the the coveted audience award Einarinn and Ljoskastarinn, the grand jury award.
