SPARROWS wins big in Les Arcs

Sparrows, the new feature from writer/director Rúnar Rúnarsson, won a total of four awards at the recently concluded Les Arcs European Film Festival in France, including its top prize, the Crystal Arrow for Best Film. Lead actor Atli Óskar Fjalarsson, recently selected for Shooting Stars 2016, picked up an award for Best Actor and director of photography Sophia Olsson won for Best Cinematography. Furthermore, Sparrows was awarded the Press Prize.

Sparrows is in the middle of a strong festival run. The film had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September and shortly thereafter won the Golden Shell award for Best Film at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in Spain. It has also won for Best Film in the 1-2 Competition at the Warsaw Internatioanl Film Festival. In total, the film has won 10 international awards.
