THE HOME GAME screened at DOC NYC
The Home Game, a humorous documentary directed by Smári Gunn and Logi Sigurvinnsson, will be screened at DOC NYC. The festival takes place from November 9th to 16th and is renowned for being the largest documentary festival in America.
The film will be shown at the festival on November 10th , where it competes in the category of Best International Film. The directors and stars of the film will be present for a Q&A session after the screening.
The Home Game is a feel-good underdog story about an Icelander's clumsy attempt to complete his father's mission: To finally get their beloved fishing village a home game on the soccer pitch he built.

This entertaining sports documentary has found its mark with audiences both in Iceland and internationally. It recently received the Audience Award at Nordisk Panorama and had previously won the Audience Award at the Skjaldborg Film Festival in Iceland, where it premiered.
