The Reykjavík International Film Festival started on September 29
The 13th edition of the Reykjavík International Film Festival (or RIFF) started on September 29 and will run until October 9. As in previous years, RIFF will screen plenty of Icelandic and foreign films for its domestic audience and foreign guests.
Among the new Icelandic feature films screening at the festival are the late Sólveig Anspach's French/Icelandic final feature, The Together Project, which will open the festival, and the Icelandic/UK coproduction Pale Star, by Graeme Maley. Several new Icelandic documentaries will also be shown, including the Spanish/Icelandic coproduction Baskavígin: The Slaying of the Basque Whalers, by Aitor Aspe; InnSæi: The Sea Within, by Kristín Ólafsdóttir and Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir; Ransacked, by Pétur Einarsson; and The Hot Tub, by Harpa Fönn Sigurjónsdóttir.
