WHEN THE LIGHT BREAKS and TOUCH selected for Göteborg Film Festival

The films When the Light Breaks, by Rúnar Rúnarsson, and Touch,  by Baltasar Kormákur, will have their Swedish premieres a Göteborg Film Festival 2025.

When the Light Breaks will compete for the Dragon Award, which is given to the best Nordic film at the festival. The prize money is 400,000 SEK. The film has already won numerous awards and has been shown at major film festivals worldwide since its world premiere at Cannes 2024.

Touch will screen in the festival's Nordic Light category. The film premiered last summer to excellent reception from audiences and critics, both domestically and abroad. Touch is Iceland's submission for the 2025 Academy Awards and is shortlisted for Best International Feature Film.
