Kári Úlfsson and Clara Lemaire Anspach receive awards at Les Arcs Film Festival

Awards were presented at Les Arcs Film Festival's Coproduction Village December 16th.

Kári Úlfsson, a producer at Icelandic production company Sensor, received the Producers Network Award. He received this for the project Seven Balconies, by Erlendur Sveinsson. The award provides access to the Cannes Film Festival's Marché du film 2025. Heather Millard received the award in 2023 for the project Shitballs (Kúluskítur) by Álfrún Örnólfsdóttir.

Clara Lemaire Anspach received the ArteKino Award for Rosa Candida, a French film based on a novel by Icelandic author Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir. Clara Lemaire is the daughter of filmmaker Sólveig Anspach. Rosa Candida is Clara Lemaire's first full-length feature film. The movie is produced by the French production company Haut Et Court. Icelandic director Ninna Pálmadóttir received the same award in 2021 for the film Solitude (Tilverur).

Icelandic filmmaking and music are in the spotlight at Les Arcs Film Festival this year, with numerous projects being presented in the festival's industry section alongside screenings of new and older Icelandic films.
